Chemistry

According to the Merriam Webster Dictionary, chemistry is defined as "a science that deals with the composition, structure, and properties of substances and with the transformations that they undergo."

More specifically, in the above definition, the word "substances" could be replaced with the word "matter". However, this begs another question. What is matter? and why does matter...well, matter?! Matter is defined as anything that has mass and takes up space. Now this opens up an entirely new can of worms so to speak. Matter is everywhere and matter can change forms in predictable fashion.

In addition to matter, there is the concept of energy. What is energy? How does energy relate to matter?  So many things to learn and investigate!!

I hope to incorporate useful videos, explanations, and websites to the blog so that there are more ways to interact with the chemistry concepts that we are studying. Hopefully, this will help as you study chemistry!
